Rosso Sport Workshop

In its ongoing quest for service excellence, and to weave that Ferrari magic locally in Johannesburg, Rosso Sport is being recognized as one of the most passionate independent Ferrari service and restoration specialists in South Africa.

Heading the service department is Massimo Vecchio who did his trade test in 1998 while working for T.A.K – the official Ferrari importers and distributors at the time – where he qualified as an automotive engineer. Massimo furthered his knowledge and skill when he began working for Lamborghini Services, who at the time where the importers and distributors for Lamborghini, Maserati and Aston Martin. In 2003 the opportunity was presented for him to work with racing cars, and before he knew it, he was fine tuning Ferrari 360 & 430 Challenge race cars for Taurino Racing which at a later stage became known as Forza Racing.

In 2009 Massimo undertook formal training in Italy at Autofficina Bonini on the mighty turbo-powered V8 of the timeless classic Ferrari F40. Over the years Massimo’s technical training continued at Ferrari S.p.A in Maranello, Italy where he attended various training courses as each new Ferrari model was released, becoming well versed in the latest updates and technical know-how for those particular models, up to and including the hybrid-powered LaFerrari.
